Help Me Make History: 100 HYROX Events in 100 Days for Chestnut Tree House
Let’s be honest—47 years of dodging gym memberships, choosing takeaways over treadmills, and cultivating a dangerously high level of “couch potato” doesn’t exactly scream fitness pro. But here I am, 4.5 stone lighter, ready to tackle not just one HYROX, but 100 HYROX events in 100 days to raise £10,000 for Chestnut Tree House, a local children’s hospice that does amazing work for families who need it most. Starting January 3rd, I’ll be sweating, sled-pushing, and (let’s face it) probably regretting every life choice, but it’s all for an incredible cause!
So, why 100 HYROX events? Why not just bake some charity cookies or do a 5K? Because this is about more than just raising money. It’s about showing that transformation is possible, even for a self-professed former couch champion like me. This journey from fat to fit in my forties has been a wild ride—15 months ago, I’d never set foot in a gym, and now I’m gearing up to take on 100 grueling HYROX events. I’ll even turn 49 at the finish line (because who doesn’t want to celebrate a birthday with burpees?).
